Position Overview:
The Google & Microsoft Ads Manager is responsible for managing and scaling all paid search and display campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising (Bing). This role ensures Nomad Internet appears in high-intent searches with optimized ad copy, budget control, and high-converting landing page alignment. The manager must maintain strict oversight of keyword performance, Quality Scores, CPL, and ROAS while executing structured testing strategies. This position reports directly to the Ads Manager and supports broader cross-platform ad efforts through daily reporting, insights, and execution.
1. Campaign Setup & Daily Execution
Build and manage search, display, Performance Max, and remarketing campaigns
Maintain keyword structure by match type, intent, and funnel stage
Write and rotate ad copy based on offer, location, and seasonal timing
Launch ad extensions (callouts, sitelinks, phone, location) to maximize coverage
Monitor campaign health, performance drops, and disapprovals daily
2. Performance Optimization & Testing
Conduct A/B tests across ad copy, headline variants, and display creatives
Pause or restructure low-performing ad groups and reallocate budget to top performers
Track Quality Scores, search impression share, CPC, and conversion rates
Test new bid strategies (manual CPC, tCPA, Maximize Conversions) based on performance
Ensure proper attribution via UTM tagging, pixel tracking, and conversion goals
3. Keyword Management & Funnel Strategy
Conduct keyword research monthly to identify new opportunities
Maintain negative keyword lists to reduce low-quality clicks
Align keyword strategy with geographic targeting, customer types, and seasonal trends
Manage remarketing lists and ensure audience layering is active on all campaigns
Coordinate landing page targeting with CRO team for conversion rate optimization
4. Reporting & Communication
Submit daily ads performance snapshot to Ads Manager by 10:00 AM:
Spend
Conversions
CPL
ROAS
Top-performing keywords
Any optimization actions taken
Provide weekly reporting on campaign health, trend analysis, and testing status
Maintain keyword performance tracker and ad group-level efficiency score
Escalate platform issues or performance anomalies immediately
Key Objectives & Results (OKRs):
Objective 1: Lower Cost-Per-Lead (CPL)
Reduce blended CPL across Google and Microsoft by 15% in first 60 days
Maintain below-target CPL across priority ad groups at all times
Eliminate non-converting keywords or placements weekly
Objective 2: Improve Return on Ad Spend (ROAS)
Increase ROAS by 20% within Quarter 1
Shift 20% of spend to top-converting search terms
Maintain 100% UTM tagging and proper conversion tracking
Objective 3: Expand Keyword Coverage and Conversion Volume
Launch 2 new keyword clusters per week
Add 100+ new long-tail terms monthly
Improve search impression share by 25% on branded and core service terms
Objective 4: Maintain Full Platform Compliance and Visibility
Keep all ads compliant with Google and Microsoft advertising policies
Monitor and resolve disapprovals within 24 hours
Ensure 100% tracking integrity via conversion actions, GA4, and linked accounts
Position Requirements:
Must manage all Google and Microsoft ad accounts with full daily ownership
Must track and improve all key performance metrics for paid search and display
Must collaborate with Ads Manager, CRO team, and landing page designers
Must provide reporting, insight, and rapid optimization feedback loops
Required Qualifications:
4–6 years experience managing high-volume paid search accounts (Google and Microsoft)
Deep understanding of keyword strategy, bidding logic, campaign structure, and attribution
Proven success in scaling leads while lowering CPL and increasing ROAS
Strong command of UTM tracking, GA4, Google Tag Manager, and platform analytics
Familiarity with Performance Max, Dynamic Search Ads, and remarketing audiences
High attention to detail, optimization discipline, and responsive communication habits
