Position Overview:

The Direct Sales Manager is responsible for leading Nomad Internet’s internal sales team, including both inbound and outbound sales agents. This role is accountable for ensuring daily sales targets are met, CRM discipline is enforced, and every lead is worked efficiently and documented accurately. The manager plays a key role in conversion optimization, lead velocity, rep accountability, and communication alignment with Marketing and Activations. This is a frontline leadership role reporting to the Director of Sales with full ownership of daily sales execution and team performance.


1. Team Oversight & Performance Management

  • Supervise all inbound and outbound sales representatives

  • Monitor agent activity throughout the day to ensure:

    • Shift adherence

    • Break compliance

    • Daily dials and touches per rep

  • Deliver real-time coaching, support, and performance enforcement

  • Ensure reps are using the CRM correctly for:

    • Lead status updates

    • Call notes

    • Follow-up scheduling

  • Manage daily standups and end-of-day wrap meetings to reinforce accountability

2. Sales Execution & Funnel Discipline

  • Enforce Nomad’s sales process from first contact through closed sale

  • Train and monitor usage of approved scripts, objection handling, and offer presentation

  • Ensure every lead is touched within SLA and worked to completion

  • Proactively identify friction in lead follow-up or conversion gaps

  • Partner with the Director of Sales to launch campaigns, test offers, and iterate quickly

3. KPI Ownership & Agent Development

  • Track and report the following metrics daily:

    • Sales per rep per day

    • Lead-to-close conversion rate

    • Average handle time (AHT)

    • Follow-up compliance rate

    • Abandon rate and missed lead count

  • Conduct weekly 1:1s with all agents focused on performance coaching

  • Identify underperformance early and issue documented performance plans

  • Collaborate with Training Manager to reinforce product knowledge and compliance

4. CRM Accuracy & Reporting

  • Ensure 100% of leads are documented in CRM with correct stage, notes, and outcome

  • Audit rep pipelines weekly for neglected or stale leads

  • Submit daily and weekly team reports to Director of Sales, including:

    • Total sales

    • Rep-level breakdown

    • Risk flags or missed targets

    • Suggestions for performance improvement

Key Objectives & Results (OKRs):

Objective 1: Achieve Daily Sales Output

  • Maintain 5+ completed sales per rep per day

  • Enforce shift coverage and daily dial targets

  • Submit rep performance report by 5:30 PM daily

Objective 2: Increase Lead Conversion Efficiency

  • Increase lead-to-sale conversion rate by 20%

  • Ensure every lead receives first contact within 30 minutes

  • Enforce a minimum of 3 touches per unconverted lead

Objective 3: Build High-Discipline Sales Culture

  • Launch daily huddles and enforce punctuality

  • Roll out real-time performance scoreboard by Week 2

  • Maintain 95% CRM compliance rate across all reps

Objective 4: Strengthen Rep Performance

  • Launch call audit reviews for each rep weekly

  • Identify bottom 20% performers by Week 3 and implement PIPs

  • Recognize top 10% performers weekly with incentives or visibility

Position Requirements:

  • Must be available during U.S. business hours to manage live call activity

  • Must enforce team compliance with scripts, schedules, and sales discipline

  • Must own all outcomes tied to lead follow-up, pipeline accuracy, and conversion

  • Must coordinate with Director of Sales, Activations, and Marketing on lead trends

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in inside sales, with 2+ years managing sales teams in a call center or high-volume environment

  • Proven success improving team conversion rates and enforcing CRM use

  • Experience with power dialers, inbound/outbound strategy, and daily sales pacing

  • Strong coaching and accountability skills

  • Familiar with CRM tools, sales reporting, and behavior-based management

  • High-energy leader with a clear ability to motivate teams under pressure
