Position Overview:
The Art Director is responsible for leading all brand visual execution across Nomad Internet’s paid campaigns, landing pages, product packaging, social media, and internal communications. This role owns the development and enforcement of Nomad’s visual identity, working closely with designers, videographers, and marketing leadership to produce creative that converts while maintaining a consistent and elevated brand presence. The Art Director is expected to oversee asset creation workflows, ensure campaign consistency across platforms, and maintain a high visual standard across all media types. This position reports directly to the Director of Marketing.
1. Brand Identity & Visual Direction
Define and enforce Nomad’s visual language across all marketing channels
Approve all layouts, designs, and creatives before deployment
Create and maintain updated brand guidelines for internal and external use
Ensure brand consistency across static ads, video overlays, email templates, and print assets
Translate positioning and copy into clean, high-impact visual frameworks
2. Creative Campaign Execution
Oversee design execution for paid media, social ads, email banners, and landing pages
Work with Ads Manager and CRO Manager to adapt creative for different funnel stages
Produce conversion-first ad designs without sacrificing brand integrity
Ensure creative is tailored by channel (Meta, Google, Microsoft, organic social, etc.)
Lead seasonal creative refresh cycles and offer-based design deployments
3. Team Oversight & Asset Management
Manage internal and contract-based designers, editors, and freelancers
Assign tasks, provide direction, and approve rounds of creative before final delivery
Maintain organized internal asset libraries, design templates, and version archives
Ensure all output is optimized for speed, mobile compatibility, and proper file formats
Collaborate with developers and content leads to execute design handoffs accurately
4. Cross-Departmental Collaboration
Work closely with CRO, Email, Ads, and Product to support test variations and content goals
Partner with Tech and UX teams to provide visually coherent assets for new site builds
Lead creative reviews with department stakeholders to align on performance and visual consistency
Receive feedback constructively and revise based on data and brand requirements
Ensure that creative priorities are aligned with business deadlines and campaign pacing
Key Objectives & Results (OKRs):
Objective 1: Maintain Visual Consistency and Brand Integrity
Launch revised brand guideline deck by Week 3
Approve 100% of outbound creative across all paid channels
Eliminate visual inconsistencies across all live landing pages and emails
Objective 2: Support Campaign Performance Through Visual Strategy
Deliver 5+ static and 3+ video ad creatives weekly to Ads Manager
Support CRO team with at least 2 test variant layouts per week
Implement creative refreshes for top ad campaigns every 10 business days
Objective 3: Manage Efficient Design Production Workflows
Maintain under 72-hour turnaround for all standard design requests
Organize weekly creative pipeline meetings with internal and freelance teams
Achieve 100% on-time delivery of launch assets for scheduled campaigns
Objective 4: Build a Scalable, High-Quality Asset Library
Create modular design templates for social, email, and ads by Week 6
Archive and tag top-performing assets by format, channel, and audience segment
Maintain a brand asset library with approved photos, fonts, and icons
Position Requirements:
Must lead and approve all brand and performance creative assets
Must ensure visual consistency across platforms, funnels, and product categories
Must manage creative contributors and maintain fast-paced execution timelines
Must be responsive during U.S. business hours and capable of handling urgent turnarounds
Required Qualifications:
7+ years in design, creative direction, or visual brand leadership
Proven experience leading ad-focused creative for paid media and high-converting funnels
Expert in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and design prototyping tools
Familiar with CRO principles, mobile-first design, and ad platform formatting standards
Strong project management, design review, and communication skills
Ability to give clear direction, meet deadlines, and balance creative quality with speed
