5/16β Torque Wrench (5 in.-lb)
7/32β Drill Bit
7/16β Wrench
Loctite or 3M Red 271 Thread Locker
βοΈ Mounting Options
πΈ Wall Mount: Suitable for indoor installations π . Use the provided mounting bracket and screws to secure the antenna to a non-metallic wall.
πΈ Pole Mount: For outdoor or pole installations, mount the antenna to a vertical pole with a diameter between 1.5 inches and 2.5 inches using the provided V-bolt, saddle clamp, and hardware ποΈ.
π Placement Considerations
π Omni-Directional: Ensure the antenna is mounted properly to maximize the 360-degree horizontal coverage.
β‘ Interference: Keep the antenna at least 24 inches away from electrical devices like lights, routers, and AC units to avoid signal interference.
𧱠Signal Path Loss: Avoid obstructions such as concrete walls or metal objects that may absorb or reflect the signal.
π Cable Length: Use the shortest possible cables to reduce signal loss. Avoid bending the cables sharply.
π§ Installation Steps
Pole Mount:
Choose a location with a clear line of sight to the nearest cellular towerπΆ.
Attach the mounting bracket to the back of the antenna using the four thread-forming screws.
Mount the antenna to the pole using the provided V-bolt and hardware. Tighten the nuts with the 7/16" wrench, ensuring the antenna is securely fastened π©.
Wall Mount:
Use a stud finder to select a stable location. Drill two 7/32" holes into the wall, ensuring the area is free of metal obstructions π οΈ.
Attach the mounting bracket to the antenna and fasten it to the wall with the provided screws π§.
Cable Routing:
Route the antenna cables to the router, ensuring no sharp bends. Secure the cables approximately 6 inches below the antenna using UV-resistant cable ties for outdoor setups π.
Waterproof the RF connectors using electrical tape or heat-shrink tubing for outdoor installations π§.
Cable Connection Instructions
Clean the connectors using canned air or isopropyl alcohol to remove any dust π§Ό.
Connect the antenna cables to the designated terminals on the router:
CELL 1 to MAIN0
CELL 2 to AUX0/DIV
πCommissioning & Testing
Confirm that all coaxial cable connectors are secure and that there are no sharp bends in the cables π.
Use a cellular deviceβs built-in diagnostics to verify an RSSI signal strength higher than -75dB π.
Ensure the cellular connection supports the required data rates for optimal performanceπ.
β οΈ Safety Warnings
Maintain a minimum separation of 20 cm from the antenna to comply with RF exposure requirements π.
Avoid installing the antenna in windy conditions or near power lines to prevent serious injury π¬οΈβ‘.
